Welcome to ZardWars Revival. We are here to serve all your ZardWars needs and maybe even more! This site hopes to achieve a couple of goals. The first is to increase awareness in a game called ZardWars, which has been slowly dieing. The second is to provide an encyclopedia of all the items, enemies, and spells, so that you have them all readily available at your fingertips. We hope you find the site useful and enjoy your stay. If you need to get in touch with the web master, their contact information is under the "Contact Us" link on the side bar. What is ZardWars?
Zardwars is a flash game created by Artix Entertainment in 2005. The only official modification of AdventureQuest, also created by Artix Entertainment, it was made as a "test [of] having multiple game databases" (Zardwars Homepage). It is only open to AdventureQuest Guardians, or those who have paid for special ingame beneifts, which is a huge pity. The game has only seen one update since it's launch, which occured during 2007. In ZardWars you main objective is to battle Zards, which are a type of lizard that stands on two legs, and other monsters from AdventureQuest with a "Z" in their name. Through battles you level up, which increases your health, mana, and available stat points, as well as gather gold. Gold can be used to buy equipment or to increase stats, which equals more monsters battling! There are many types of weapons, a variety of spells, multiple suits of armour, a plethora of shields, hordes of enemies, and pets to help you out. Stats do many things from boosting your damage output, to increasing your available health. The game operates off a turn-based nature. This means that you take your turn, then your pet attacks, followed by the enemy's counterattack. During your turn, you switch your suit of armour, change weapons, and swap shields, then either attack, cast a spell, or recall your pet. Although the game is small, with the only goal being to beat up monster upon monster, it can be a nice mind-numbing activity. |
